Three Point Thirteen Is Out | GNOME 3.14 @ Sept 24 | Draft

progress-bar

According to our progress bar it took ~13% of GNOME 3.14 completion till we have a release schedule. Okay that was typical, we knew -approximately- the dates anyway, and still this is approximately since that’s a draft.

The most important change is that GNOME is dropping the .5 developing cycle, while the first development version (3.13.1) is scheduled for April 30. Beta (3.13.92 / UI freeze) comes on Aug 20, and the final release on Sept 24!

That means that by mid October you can use GNOME 3.14 on the first distros that will ship it. I guess that will be Arch & Arch derivatives -again.

You can also use California to get GNOME Release Schedule. However it still displays the 3.12, but I guess they will update soon to 3.14.
