Satyajit Sahoo has been busy again lately preparing a new flat looking, minimalistic GTK3 theme that is compatible with the 3.6 branch. Numix simplicity in design provides the needed “light look” and feel that a modern everyday theme must offer to users without being “poor” in any way.

This is just a demo of a Theme Service for GNOME 3 that works similar to extensions.gnome.org. It needs a browser plugin to run but this won’t be really necessary. Although it seems to be far from completed, we can launch it by next week after we solve the bandwidth issues. You can use it at [...]

Themes that make your desktop look like a Mac have always been popular among the users of any desktop environment. Although Gnome Shell looks and is very cool, many users still prefer to transform it into something more Mac-like. Gnome Cupertino is a GTK 3.6 theme that has received a lot of work with attention [...]
The rate in which new fantastic Gnome Shell themes are being created seems to have exploded since version 3.6, and we are “forced” once again to present you one more piece of magnificence. Tyr is a double flavored GS theme from the hands of the Danish artist bimsebasse that looks very sleek and modern.
Gnome Shell look and configuration possibilities keep on increasing in number as more and more artists use and create themes for it. Nuxio is one of them who offers a fantastic looking GS and GDM theme for versions 3.2, 3.4 and 3.6 since a few days ago when the latest version got released.

Sud comes from the creator of the popular Nord theme for the Gnome Shell, and is actually something like the “dark” version of it. I was hacking a bit the Online “Store” for GNOME Themes I am doing and I thought to add a gallery, something like previewing the themes, while you are working, before you make your actual selection, because this way you can see all the controls. I was trying how fast and smooth GNOME could manipulate [...]

It seems that Malys has become the epicenter of our “artistic” news lately either with his own work, or through work of others inspired by him. The Rought GNOME Shell 3.6 theme to combine with the corresponding GTK theme that we suggested earlier this month has landed, and it looks great!
I used ACID for a few weeks since it was initially released for Gnome Shell 3.4, and I absolutely loved it for its boldness and its unique and successful combination of unambiguous clean borders, and optical functionality. I am more than happy to see that theRealPadster decided to update his theme, providing a new version that [...]

“The Future” is a new Gnome Shell theme creation from the artist Kotus that is obviously heavily inspired by malys’ Future GS theme. The Future is compatible with GS 3.6 and works great, despite the fact that it’s only on version 0.1. This theme is not the result of a farrago of futuristic elements, but the [...]
I posted about Elegance Colors before. It is a chameleon theme for Gnome Shell which can change colors according to the current GTK theme, current wallpaper (uses imagemagick to get color) or a user defined color. Today I have updated it with some new features (and bug fixes too). The most notable feature is that [...]
