Another small step towards Rhythmbox 3.0 was made today, as version 2.98 is now available. The popular music management and playing Gnome application is now a lot less buggy, and also a little bit improved in the “details”.
As Rhythmbox follows its own independent to Gnome release circle, it is exciting to see that the new version is almost synchronized with the Gnome 3.6 release!
What is new?

- New audio CD metadata lookup library, replacing libmusicbrainz
- Improved transitions between album art images
- Nautilus cluebar buttons now result in the right source being selected
- Update notification buttons when playback state changes
