Pie Menu For Sudoku


Sudoku is an important part of GNOME’s games collection allowing people to freely waste countless hours counting numbers and doing mistakes with confidence. Although it didn’t receive any ground braking changes during the latest development cycle, some things happened so here are the changelogs:

  • The colored grid no longer “dances” at the end of the game to reduce risk of epileptic seizures.

Pie Menu

I won’t say that the current numpad used to choose an entry in-game looks terrible, but it definitely could be much better. That is what GNOME designers also thought apparently, so we have a new design proposal aimed to address the issue. Here’s what it looks like:

As said before, all these mockups and design proposals may never actually be implemented, or they may look completely different when they do. This particular looks cool, so I can only hope we’ll use the pie soon…
