Patch fixes message tray on pop ups!

This post was made with an older stylesheet

The problem currently is that the message tray background (the gradient at the bottom of the screen) is displayed when a banner pops up. It would be better not to show the gradient – the background should only be displayed when the tray is properly open.

Ana writes on her blog:

In my opinion, the suggested bug makes sense, since currently the roles of the pop up banners and the message tray when a notification appears are somehow blended and the message tray takes up also the role of popping up on events.  Therefore it should rather remain faithful to its main purpose, which is providing an uniform concept for providing information and awareness for different events that is controlled by the user. So here are the screen shots with the results of what I have come up with:

[caption id="attachment_3756" align="aligncenter" width="640"] The pop-up notification[/caption]

expanded notification

[caption id="attachment_3766" align="aligncenter" width="604"] The tray shows up when clicking on a summary item[/caption]

Anas next goal is the implementation of the close button on banners which means, apart of other important things, positioning it relative to its parent.
