My-Humanity icon set

This post was made with another stylesheet and it might be messed up!

humanityMy-Humanity is another great alternative icon set that would make your eyes a little more pleased when used under Gnome Shell instead of the weathered default.

The icons of this set look cleaner and bolder than the default, and the result is modern and relaxing. There are no excesses in the design as every icon tries to follow the trodden allowing users to easily find what they are looking for based in what they are used to.

The special design characteristic of this theme is the use of drawers instead of folders, and although this element has been limited in the latest version of the icon set, you will still find drawers in some cases.

The good thing is the plethora of icons. I tested many applications that I use and found that almost everything was available and modestly sightlinessed by My-Humanity. Take this 0 A.D. icon shown in the following screenshot for example.

To install and use this icon set in your system, you should download the compressed file and unzip it under /home/.icons (create this folder if it doesn’t exist). You may then choose the set from Gnome tweak tool. No restarting should be required if everything was done correctly. For more details, check our comprehensive guide on how to theme Gnome 3.

Is this the 13.04 icon theme?

Did tiheum design this? (cause i heard he got hired by canonical to design something)

That files icon is a tweaked copy of the one tiheum did for ubuntu 13.04..

Looks nice. Thought I’m not a fan of using the File Cabinet for default Pictures/Documents/etc folders, but according to the Gnome-Look page, neither is a lot of others so he’s going to change that. This looks suspiciously like a combination of the new Ubuntu Icons and Elementary’s Icons with slight modifications.
