As GStreamer developers work hard towards the 1.0 release, developers of Gnome modules and applications that use the multimedia framework try to finish the porting as soon as possible. Let’s take a look on the situation so far!
As you can see, the porting of many modules has been already done, and most of the rest are in progress. Developers can take advantage of the much cleaner and improved version 1.0 API by following this porting guide.
Are all modules going to be ported before the release of Gnome 3.6? There is no specific timeline to define when everyone should finish the porting, but I hope that we will have all core Gnome modules ready soon :)
