This is the situation for the currently eleven active goals that aim to bring Gnome further ahead. It is clear that developers of various Gnome aspects have a lot of work to do and it seems that some of these goals won’t be fully completed till Gnome 3.8 release, leaving the environment’s technical substructure somewhat inconsistent.

I can only hope for the best, but the truth is that with the currently available resources, some of the above goals need much more time to complete than we would like. For more details about the current goals, finished goals of the past and goals to come in the future (currently proposals) visit the Gnome Goals live webpage.

Port to GMenu… I’d love to know how this wonderful idea come to the world. Just drop it, pleaseeee.

I agree, it’s just a waste of time and effort.

Those menu items should be in a single settings buttons *on the window* like in Elementary OS’s default apps.. it works so much better. Especially if I have an app running in my second monitor… the GMenu settings are so separated it’s confusing, especially for new users (watch “my mum tries Fedora” on Youtube). Never liked how that worked in Mac or Ubuntu to begin with.
