GNOME Community on Google+

GNOME members launched a GNOME Community on Google Plus! They started it two days ago, and it counts 93 members.

Current moderators are Allan Day, Sriram Ramkrisha and William Jon McCann.

    I like very much latest efforts, including this and Gnome forums. Ubuntu looks far better in terms of communication, while Gnome is just emerging as a separate, self-aware product and community.

    Yes, GNOME is still awaking from it’s prolonged sleep to see the communication problem it faces. You can’t just develop the software in an open-source community and call it a day, you have to talk to your users and let them engage in the discussion and feel their opinions are valued.
    But the first steps they are taking now seem to be going on the right direction. The GNOME Legacy session in 3.8 and this community will certainly appease some users.
