The Gnome Boston Summit 2012 will be a three day hackfest that will take place on MIT Cambridge from October 6, till October 8.
The summit will be sponsored by Red Hat and is open for both developers and contributors and will offer a unique opportunity for everyone to meet each other, work together, discuss the (nearby) future of Gnome development and get to work right there.
What is going to happen there?
The schedule is not yet complete, and proposals are still coming but there are already five main things that are going to be discussed and worked on:
- 3.5 Features
- GnomeOS
- GobjectIntrospection
- Installing Linux/GNOME on your computer
- Introduction to GTK+
There are already 22 people who expressed their interest in attending. If you want to go, make sure that you will add your name on this list.
How can I get there?
The summit will take place on MIT Tang Center, Building E51. See the generic BostonSummit/LocalHotels page for local hotels, and BostonSummit/PublicTransportation for getting around. If you need assistance, the Travel Committee will be accepting sponsorship requests until August 22nd, 15:00 UTC.
