DeLorean (by ~killhellokitty) is one of my favorites themes ..or at least it could be one of my favorites themes if it was working. While it is easy to make a good light theme, dark themes are way harder and need more attention in details in order to be clear.
In my opinion DeLorean is the best effort -so far- for a dark theme, far from completed yet!
Incompleted
I had many bugs in DeLorean like not displaying On/Off switches in Gnome Shell and also it reduces the response in Gnome -at least in my case in Fedora 18. I was thinking not to print a buggy theme, but DeLorean is so cool and guys that like “black” will love this. So, the reason I published it, is simply if you have some time and you want to help killhellokitty, you can give him some feedback and fix the issues.
Themes Bug: There is a bug that affects Mutter Themes in Gnome 3.6 at least in Fedora 18 and Ubuntu 12.10. You have to install themes system-wide and not local. Local installation will crash the GS!
/usr/share/themes/ (wide) ~/.themes (local -doesn't work!)
Screens
Buttons and Progress Bars are really nice. GTK3 overall rocks in DeLorean. However I don’t really like the Gnome Shell top panel, and as you can see Switches are not rendered.
There are some parts of Gnome Shell that I do like; Apps Overview is one of them :)
GTK2 also looks good. However working with an app like Gimp within a dark theme, isn’t easy.
