In Gnome maybe you can’t change icons -by default at least- but it looks like that you will be able to get wallpapers right off from you Picasa or Flickr!
Another Gloud (Gnome+Cloud) service seems to arriving :)

And continues to be normal, changes throughout date is an old feature..
..and BOOM!
This feature is scheduled for 3.6 as far as I can tell.. What do you think? ;)
